Start with a box, not a commitment
Most people find us looking for milk and are not sure where to begin. The intro package is a little of what we are known for, enough to taste before you build a week around it.
We came to this the long way around
Allen and I both grew up on farms. But our fathers farmed the conventional way: chemicals on the fields, modified corn, hormones to push the cows for more milk, animals kept inside most of their lives.
That was normal. That was just how it was done.
Then I married into the Zook family, and started paying attention to how my father in law did things. Jake had been farming this ground in grass for twenty years before I ever thought to ask him a question about it. No chemicals. Cows out on pasture. Selling straight to the families who ate the food. He was doing it before most people around here had a name for it.
So I started reading, and asking. Eventually I sat through a three day course on soil health that rearranged how I saw the whole thing: the soil, the water, the air, the animals, the food. It is one system. Everything affects everything.
Now Allen and I are taking the farm over from Jake and Barbra. He raised eleven children on this ground. We married the two youngest.

Raw milk asks more of a farm
Care matters at every step, from pasture and milking to chilling and bottling.

Bring a cooler in summer. We also ship. Check your zip when you sign up.
This farm is meant to be walked
Picking up your order here was never meant to feel like a transaction. Come early, look at the animals, ask questions. Bring the kids.
And there is more coming. We are working toward an on-farm store, regular farm tours, and days where you can learn how this kind of farming works: the soil, the grazing, the milking, all of it. The plan is for this place to be somewhere families come to see where their food comes from, not just where it gets handed over.
The old Ford still earns its keep.
